TTD Annaprasadam Trust Corpus Hits ₹2,263 Crore
TTD Annaprasadam Trust Corpus Hits ₹2,263 Crore
What happened:
The Annaprasadam Trust, run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), has grown its corpus fund from about ₹1,854 crore in 2023-24 to ₹2,263 crore as of August 2025.
This fund supports free meals for devotees—every day, the trust serves about 1.9-2.1 lakh meals and annually feeds over 7.2 crore people.
How it works:
The trust is largely self-reliant, running primarily off its interest income (around ₹200 crore/year) which more than covers its food expenses (~₹150 crore/year).
Donations have also increased: in 2023-24, it got ~₹221 crore; in 2024-25, ~₹271 crore. In just August 2025, donations were ~₹150 crore alone.
More high-value donors are coming forward: those giving ₹1 crore or more increased from 14 donors last year to 25 this year.
Why this matters:
The growth shows strong support from devotees and rising confidence/trust in TTD’s management.
Ensures food services (annadanam) for devotees can be sustained without depending heavily on government subsidy.
Helps stabilize one of the biggest service operations in Tirupati, which serves thousands daily and millions annually.
A larger corpus also gives more room for improving quality of food, infrastructure of kitchens, supply chains, etc.
